Default H&S MCC programing

Is there anyone reputable in the Houston or Galveston area that can write an MCC tune for my H&S mini max (PRE EPA)? I have never got a custom tune so what kind of ballpark price would I be looking at as well?

Sweet how much do they average $ and what do you need to know about the truck to build one? I also have the overdrive unlocked if that makes a difference. Can you get more out of the programmer with a custom tune or how does it all work. Excuse my ignorance as I have never run a custom tune.

Ryan at Hardway performance did my truck. He is located in FL but can email you a program. I am sure Luke could hook you us as well.

Ultimately you would want your truck fine tuned on a dyno.

There's a lot of people/companies out there building custom tunes. Price range depends on who you go with too. I've paid $150 (with mil discount) and have heard of some charging $300 for a file. Luke is good peeps, I don't have experience with his tuning but if I was in the market again I'd give him a shot. They will need your VIN and what all mods you've done to your truck along with what you hope to get out of the tunes and what you use your truck for. You'll get emailed the tunes (if out of area) and you just load them onto SD card then install. I agree with GMB to an extent... Yes if your wanting the most efficient and most power you can get from your truck how she sits, then tuning while she sits on a dyno is the best way to go... But in all honesty it's not very practical when you look at the cost vs returns on just a DD

09 CTD qcsb, parts fell off, some got added, car seat and hot wife mod w/ full wallet delete

I have been talking to luke about the tune. Just have to get a few more things cleared up as to what it is capable of with what I have for a DD as well as towing and a hot level for the short runs. Like I said I haven't run a custom tune before so he is probably getting impatient with me and calling me a dumb a$$ for some of the things I am asking but hey you gotta start somewhere to learn it. Not wanting to build my own just trying to get a handle on the whole thing to know what I would be buying. Thanks for all the input and I look forward to seeing what a custom tune is all about. By the way I will be loading it in my H&S and have to get the MCC unlock to run it also but just curious, what other tuners can run custom besides efi live?
