My 07 6.7L 3500 will run for roughly 20 minutes and then it just kills. If you wait a few hours it will start back up and do the same thing. All the dash lights and everything operate like normal but will not even try to start and you cannot connect to the ECM with a scan tool or my Mini Maxx when it does this. I sent the ECM off to be checked and they said for some reason it wasn't holding a good memory. Now before I go out and buy a $2000.00 ECM does anyone have any input, also can I program a New ECM by using my Mini MAXX?

 

no you cant program a new ecm with your mini maxx, basicly everthing in your orignal ecm has to be copied into a certain program, than transferred to the new ecm.
Did they tell you why the ecm isn't holding the programming?

 

All they said was that the ECM was on its way out and would need to be replaced or fixed. To get it fixed was just as much as a rebuilt one. I just got a rebuilt one and put it in the truck and downloaded the H&S factory tune and then H&S tune and it no longer is killing.
