hello have 08 3500 with g56 clutch is rumblin&grumblin sounds like its gonna retire soon (head south) have new SB dual disc was wondering what is best replacement fluid for transmission and how much? heard maybe add xtra fluid for g56 if so how much?

 

The stock clutches sure don't live long do they? I went with some syt. trans fluid that Chevron makes. My thinking was anything has got to be better than ATF

 

I'm running gorilla juice lite

 

DELVAC 50 and add one quart extra. Chrysler was the only one of the mercedes applications that used ATF.

Ya the fluid I got from Chevron says it is what Mercedes recommends for the G56 trans

 

anybody think adding some of that motorkote to the g56 tranny is a good idea ?

 

mobiltrans shc DC 50wt manual transmission. Oil Is what is actually recomended. but I did find Lucas makes a 50 wt transmission oil and that's what I am running in mine just because its more convenient for me. But my original plan was to run gorilla juice.
