Default Upgrades for 2008 Cummins

I purchased a 2008 Dodge 6.7L Diesel. I would like to get some opinions on where to start with upgrades. It has a delete kit on it. I had a Smarty but when I got a new clutch installed the dealer did something to the truck and the Smarty no longer works. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

they flashed your ecm. did you have the smarty in or out at the time the done this?

if you ever take your truck to a dealer tell them do not flash it. or find other options and dont deal with a dealer is the best way.

I did have the smarty on it at the time. I didn't think to tell them it was hooked up. Clearly my mistake. aside from getting another smarty for the truck any suggestions on what else I could do to the vehicle?

You can get a "do not flash" cover for the OBDII port. We have about 50 of them in stock.

Hopefully you can get some help from Smarty on getting it re-programmed.

Flashed ECM sucks.
You have a DPF delete or just an EGR delete or both?

Both DPF and EGR delete. I figured it would help keep the motor running longer and cleaner. Also replaced the exhaust with 4" from the turbo back. I have put a cold air intake on it as well. I have tried to add a few things myself but as you can see they are very simple upgrades. Has anyone heard of smarty helping out with reprogramming a programmer? The do not flash port cover will absolutely be my next purchase. Thank you.

Another question I have, does anyone know of a good diesel mechanic around the Ft Bliss/El Paso area. I have a feeling I will need help with any further upgrades.

yea,if you have to take the truck to the dealer again, tell them not to reflash the ecm,and have them put it in writing.
