hello need advice was driving home when serpentine belt came off. under hood was coolant all over front of engine. im thinking waterpump gone bad but would like 2nd opinion. 08 3500 has 125k mi. just replaced belt and coolant at 100k hoses look ok water drains out around front of engine when i put some in hard to tell exactly where as it is raining and everything is wet so waddya think? water pump?

 

Check your tensioner also. Is the pulley on the waterpump loose? Check all other pullies for movement to rule them out. Did it get hot and spew water out the overflow from the belt coming off? Just a few extras to check. But it sounds like your on the right track.

 

agree with whats said above i lost my water pump at 40k there junk
