Default DEATH WOBBLE KIT

Don't know if anybody has posted this but I damned near wrecked so I'm posting what I know.
Dodge has an "upgrade kit", so they don't have to do a recall, that replaces tie rods, cross members, bushings and stabilizer with MUCH HEAVIER UNITS than stock. After thinking all my lug nuts were loose at 50mph, ( yeah go on get it out of your system), I found out from my alignment guy about this kit. I already had a steering box stabilizer and new strut installed and holy cow what a difference that made, until I accelerated under power. Pretty sure it threw my bird dog into the next county, worse that anything on You Tube by far. One end of the tie rod was so loose you could really slap it around.
So....... death wobble suffers see you Dodge dealer, apparently he's the only one with the fix at this point.

Default track bar too

The track bar bushings apparently where the issues started according to a guy I went to school with that just happens to work for the local Dodge/chrysler dealer. I have a 2008, if I want to replace the bushings in the track bar I have to buy the whole new assembly. I haven't found an aftermarket, Moog or otherwise, that have bushings for anything past 2002. I had already put in a "steering box stabilizer" when the bushings went so bad I thought I was gonna wreck. Death Wobble is the right term.

been in contact with MOOG, they apparently don't have replacement bushings for track bar, or a full replacement kit of any kind for a 2008! 2007 yes, 08 nope.
I see Coors man has train horns. I have an acutal set off of Burlington Northern, family in the R&R business many years. Just need to find a place up in the frame to mount.

have you seen the adjustable track bars? and i dont think there is any difference from 07-08 that i know of.. i would like to know if there is though. my dad works for bnsf aswell started with santafe like 30 yrs ago. i have a single nathan air chime but it sounds funny by its self so i dont run it i need to buy the rest. i had to mount mine to the bed pointed backwards and you can still make ppl crap there pants. i put a 190 psi switch in and it is pretty loud now.

Looking at adjustable track bars they seem a heck of a lot heavier than stock.
Just got off the phone with REM that apparently handles all of Dodges warranty issues. They say that models prior to mine and after mine, a 2008 3500< had recalls but Dodge has not issued one for my truck???? When asked why not, they said, "we are not authorized to release information unless a recall is defined". Anybody else have a 2008 that developed Death Wobble? oh I'll betcha they do. The dealer is taking the 5th and nobody gives a damn how dangerous it is. oh well whistle past the grave yard.

Ya i have always ran over sized tires. So i never wasted my time. they would just blame it on the tires but you know there are many others with the same problem. Just like you said its dangerous. And the recall they had awhile back. about something with the steering. Took my truck in and he looked said oh your ok you have dual steering stabilizer. I was a little confused but what ever something breaks its on them now.

update from MOOG, they determined that the 2007 bushings will fit the track bar ends. part number K08777, 2 piece replacement. They are far heavier than stop spongy crap. Weather in the teens and the truck she's a no fit in da garage. hoping for warming trend around Turkey day.
