Default 6.4 tuner

so i have a buddy of mine that has a 6.4 he asked me what kind of tuner/programmer he shoud put in his truck. since im a die hard 7.3 guy i had no idea how to answer him because i have no knowledge with the 6.4 tuners.
this is what he wants. he wants to improve mileage, and interchange it between vehicles, and maybe a little extra power on the side.
could i get any input, suggestions on this? all helps thanks

H&S, and SCT are probably gonna be the 2 good hits your going to see. Spartan is good too but they require a re licence to change it to a different truck. Its kinda up to what your friend is looking to do. Is he going to delete the dpf filter? Just another question that your going to get asked. Just my 02 cents, but id stay away from all the other brands out there. Their is a reason why you dont hear them mentioned.

I second that of Luke, XRT Pro is his best bet, but it is only good for the newer DPF equipped trucks

Spartan is also an excellent choice.

I have a Bully Dog tuner that came in my 08 F250 S.D. I have it set for Stock right now but I am still only getting about 14mpg. I think it might be the 37" tires that are on it. When it is time I think I will look at different ones. Hopefully that will help some.
