Default Will not having a DPF Fail the Inspection

Just Bought 2008 F-350 6.4 after owning a dodge that got great gas mileage and had great sound. The 6.4 is a kickass truck but i miss my MPG's. So im new to this DPF and i was wanting to know if you take the DPF off can it still pass a vehicle inspection?
Thanks Guys

I heard that you can take your truck to any certified diesel machanic and they can inspect it for you. I don't know if this is true or not???????? I was thinking about getting a DOT number for mine and was wondering the same thing!

If you take your DPF off without a TUNER, the truck will go to LIMP MODE In FLORIDA we don't have vehicle inspection

If they have emissions testing in your area you will fail the test.
