The egr blocker plates help alot. The H&S Performance Tuners like the mini maxx and blackmaxx work awesome for dpf and egr deletes. Those and with an exhaust or the delete pipes and bd's cold air intake makes these trucks scream!

Your truck will throw a bunch of codes and will not run right.

What's the most cost effective way to go about getting better fuel mileage hauling a load?

I've got the same truck with mods as yours minus the air intake and possibly the gearing. Not sure what mine is with the 5 speed auto. Is your gearing stock? I just did the dpf delete and CS tuner last week and my MPG in the city has not moved from 13.5 (which I reached immediately before the mods on a long haul)... So what is the deal with Edge regarding 08-10 fords with "excellent preturbo EGT Sensor placement" but no way to monitor it with the CS evolution??... Have you figured out a way to monitor EGT with the CS and the stock sensor? or is this a promise not delivered by Edge or what???

The truck has 4:10 gears and weighs 8700lbs with my wife and I in it. After the mods I get 19-21 highway at 65-70mpg. Towing it's 11-13 depending on where we go, 65mph highway. That's with the tuner set on #1.
