Default Downpipe or no?

Have any of you guys running downpipes on your 6.4s seen any changes? Is it worth the labor? I have a brand new 4" AFE downpipe kit sittin in my garage and dont know if it worth the hassle for little, if any, reward.Any input is appreciated.

I'm curious about this as well. I have a 3.5 dpf delete, hollowed cat with a 4in exhaust. Was thinking about doing a 4in dp and cat/dpf delete to my 4in exhaust, but didn't know if it would be worth it.

Well I just took my truck down to have the downpipe installed and the installer tells me the 4" downpipe is the exact diameter as the stock. Not only that ,he tells me the stock is stainless and is a better set up than the aluminized 4" I just bought. If 4" is the stock size why are people installing 4" Flopro and AFE pipes????

The stock pipe is double walled, and squashes down where it passes by the frame.

FWIW -- you could make that friggin pipe out of TIN, with the exhaust temps these things generate, it'll never rust unless you have a habit of starting your truck, running it for 30 seconds, then shutting it off so the exhaust condenses all to hell.
