Default Help for my DAD

My old man took his truck in to the shop for some recall work. He removed his bully dog from the truck. The shop reflashed his ECM. Now the ECM will not take the programmer. It is givin P1000-FF-ECM trouble code and it cant be removed. Does anyone have any ideas???????? Oh its a 08 with 6.4 Powerstroke.

the dealer did exactly what they said they did. asking a dealer to modify for proper use of AFTERMARKET item is against what they do... there isnt a problem with the ecm. its your aftermarket accessory probably cant communicate with the updated calibration.

Also the P1000 code is basically nothing, it will go away on it's own. It usually only appears after a reflash or battery disconnect, just tells you it hasn't been running long enough to do a full diagnostics.

right all you emissions monitors are not set yet, it just needs to relearn for a while and the code will go away, and your tuner needs to be updated, obviously they changed something so the tuner won't communicate properly. Ford cant change computers to accomadate tuners.
