Default '08 and up F450 wheels fitting F350?

All,

I am in the market for a F350 or F450 powerstroke DRW. Without a doubt the F450 looks better with the larger diameter wheels/tires and fender flares on the front.

From here, has anyone pursued with replacing the F350 16" wheels with the larger F450 wheels?

f350 wheels are made for 8 lug, im pretty sure f450's are 10 lug. as long as they're the same offset and everything you shouldnt have a problem.

I am looking for the truck, but wondering if these features of the F450 can be applied to a F350 within finanical reasoning. If they cannot, then I supposed I will have to get the F450 equipped with these features. Overall, my needs for towing do not exceed the capabilities of the F350 hence my inquiry.

other than having a bigger bolt circle and 2 extra wheel studs.... he would have to more than likely change out the control arms and spindles on a 2wd assuming the mounting points on the frame are the same and the whole rear axle in the rear and a 4x4 change the axle up front and hope all the steering and suspension will interchange....

Right im sorry i left that out. lug pattern is different so your gonna have to change alot of front driveline parts.

Yup like what was said above the 450 has bigger axles and the 10 lug pattern so the swap "could be a little more work than its worth" but that's up to the person doing it. If you truly like the look and parts on the 450 better I would say why buy something that expensive just to change it to what you want when you can buy what you want for not much more. Good luck with which ever path you choose

Although there are a couple companies that sell conversion kits that enable you to run semi truck tires and rims on a regular f350 or f450.

The F-450 fenders are sickeningly awesome.

I do know, the F450 front axle width is quite a bit greater than the F350 axle.

If you've ever driven an F-450 and a 350 back to back, that 450 nearly drives around the outside edge of a dime, compared to the 350.

My 350 SRW is AWFUL in tight parking lots, it has the turning radius of a schoolbus.
