dual t/stat
I just swapped to the double thermostat housing and 130GPM pump. I bought the housing from a scrap yard online and bought a 1997 model year pump. I spent 165 on to get both. My temps are a lot cooler. I also installed the three in one glowshift gauge to monitor temps etc. The trucks runs 190 deg. F consistently.

The pump Heath sells is different from the 97+ h/o pump and he actually prefers to run the single stat with his balanced flow pump-fan-clutch. If running the non Heath 97+ junkyard pump . it works better than the early OEM setup but needs the dual stat to get the benefit. It costs a little more but if you have the coins I'd go with Bills latest offerings there.

I don't know what your camper weighs or what kind of terrrain you pull it to, one thing to remember if getting to 210F then you are running hot for the 6.5, you can have excursion into that zone but sustained operation above it is bad karma even though GM put 260 as the redline for coolant tempo that is WRONG and partly why the 6.5 got such a bad rep over the years from folks that did not know anybetter and cook the engine.
When loaded with my backhoe G/N I'm rolling with 23,900 combined weight (chill out scale police some sites tend to have) I know that is heavy weight but I've set up my rig for it on make that pull only a couple time less than 150 miles mostly through the country some interstate it is not a regular pull 99.9% of time I'm at or below rated weight. Anyway <195F with mods in my sig even on +100F days, if you still or start having problems with temperature control #1 culprit for the 6.5 is the crud stuck to back of ac core and front of radiator.
