Does anyone know where the injectors from ss diesel are made? I called heath diesel and Bill said the ones that are made in germany are actually made in china and are junk. He said the only ones worth buying are Bosch, but on ss diesels web site it does not say where they are made anyone know?

 

Howdy 6.5 CR, mite wanna double check, I called Bill because something didn't quite fit with your narrative, Bosch is German, we have Bosch fuel injection on locomotives I work on made & sold in Germany same as the Bosch that Heath recommends as the ONLY ones he sells and recommends for the 6.5. Point of clarification Herzog a German company do sell injectors in a box marked Germany, that are assemebled in China under their label and boxed in their box.

Possibly that is point of confusion, Bill shared some issues he had with a set of those in his vehicle that did not do him any favors, maybe there have been some changes since then, but China assembeled does not give him warm and fuzzy any longer.

Not sure what SSD sells these days but if price is very low, might be worth asking the brand before buying, also word of caution on remanned injectors, I called another buddy today works at a well known injection shop you see on ebay a lot, confirms that Herzogs they carry have had "issues" he works there sells what boss says to sell, and also warns of some remans marked as Bosch, but the internals are rebuilt with Chinese parts, so very important know from where the reman originates.

Bad injectors can toast a engine in very short order.

how those ss diesel 40hp injectors working for u because i got some to and havnt put them in yet because ive been hearing alot of bad things from that company

 

i have just install stock SSD injector about 6months ago seem to be running fine

Now for running 40hp don't waste your money not going see the 40hp the IP only going put put out so much fuel the only time you may see it if you go full blowen mods

 

so the ssd leak at all?

 

mine don't leak nice start up just puff gray smoke at start up

as soon i fine place around here that can pop test my old boch injectors and set up 2300 pop i have new tips put on and restall

 

how high can i set the pop on my 6.2 injectors?

 

should be able set them 2300 pop the only diff with injectors was 6.2 are just little longer that because they don't have turbo on it

 

i also have a set of 6.5 injectors and turbo system. i attempted to mount the turbo manifod but it obviousely hit the 6.2 injectors but also the ac housing on the firwall. i will probably make my own manifold but which set of injectors should i use? i have access to test and rebuild either set.
