I have the crappy JC whitney whatever the hell it is body lift on mine. It was for an 88-93 I think and the steering extension was the wrong one. the accordion thing on the stock shaft stretched plenty but redoing it is on the to do list, it does flex.

dont make your own body lift.......well of course unless you want to die, or someone else to die, or have your truck impounded, pay heavy fines, or just have the cab sheer off the frame in a wreck........spend the money and buy a Performance Accessories body lift, or heck just buy the pucks from them, they are 5 bucks a piece, and get grade 8 bolts that are 3 inches longer than your stock ones........but if you think hockey pucks, washers, and 4x4 post will your, you my friend, are an idiot.............right now what the truck community needs is for someone to get killed cause of plain ignorance......that will get it all shut down......dont give them the ammo they need.....

ive done 5 IFS chevy body lifts.......

i am wishy washy on them, they are good for street queens who want to step up a tire size or two, or for a pulling truck that needs some extra inches to clear the tires and it greatly helps when working on the truck cause it gives you ALOT more clearance around the tranny and motor.......now a hardcore offroad truck??? no way.......cut the fenders or get more lift......

Body lifts suck. Leveling kits will raise your truck up to 2-3in and they are cheap.

Just remember when you use a body lift you will have other stuff that will have to be lengthen which sucks. I think I got mine from summit racing but it does not have a back bumper extension.

Yeah the fuel filler neck. Mine didn't come with front bumper mounts either so I fab'd them. The problem with the rear bumper relocator is you have no more gap between the tailgate and bumper, but now have a fat *** gap between the bumper and the trailer hitch. I left my rear bumper where it was. I haven't got around to it but I'ma get some black diamond plate to go between the tailgate and the bumper.
