What are your power goals, and how much do you want to spend? What turbo you plan on going with? You even planning on doing a different turbo based on your injector size? Are you using stock injectors now?

225 is a BIG injector... you're going to need a good turbo, a built trans, and possibly a better HPOP, if not dual pumps to keep those sticks happy. The dual pumps is still out to jury though, some trucks hold ICP with 225's and others do NOT. A full flowing 225/150 is good for around 750rwhp on fuel only... that's way more than most need.

Do you plan on towing ever? How heavy?

I see you have a powermax now. You also have an Edge. You will definitely have to get rid of that and get an SCT with custom tuning for larger injectors. Big injectors and no trans tuning means good bye trans!

A couple guys have run the 190's/75 and 190's/100 with a p-max, it's definitely not going to clean up 190's and it's about at it's limit with a 175. It can be done, but tuning will be crucial and you'll never get full potential out of the sticks with that turbo.

Also, yes, Warren Diesel is a great way to get injectors.

I do plan on a sct, but yes i do pull a bobcat occasionally maybe once or twice a month or every two months, so will the powermax handle the 190' s?my goal is to sit at about 500 to 600 hp

Will it handle it? Probably. It will never clean them up fully, so your tuner (if they know what they're doing) will be pulling fuel from them. No point going that big if the only turbo you plan on using is a p-max IMO.

Check out the MAD turbo's. They're still in development, but as far as I know you can essentially order one now, everyone is raving about them. You send in a stock 6.0 turbo and ~$700 and get something that will outperform the p-max in every way. It's basically a frankenstein of a 6.0 turbo and a d-max turbo.

you NEED SCT before injectors.

What's that bobcat weigh? It's tough going too big on injectors if you tow a lot. A 155/50 or maybe a 175/75 would be a better choice. Heck if your dead set on 190's, go with a 75% nozzle, not the 100%.

I would also maybe talk to MPD (maryland performance diesel) about a different turbo setup, or maybe even the guys over at holderdown. They both have decently inexpensive options for a non VGT 62 or 64mm. There's a lot of things you can do to make turbo's spool differently on a street truck too if you really want 190's. An open intake manifold would help (I'm not talking the intake elbows I see everyone doing), a set of divided up-pipes into a T4 housing spooling a 64 would be awesome. Or some guys use the BD diverter valve to spool a larger charger easily, but that can get expensive....

500hp is a big difference in parts from 600hp.

Why not build a 500hp truck, then throw a nitrous kit on it, so if you hit the track or truck pulls you have 600 when you need it, but to save your truck and your rear tires, run 500ish on the street?

Will my stock tranny hold 500 or will i need to do some mods to it? Also whats kinda hps do u think i will be laying down with 190`s 75% nozzles the pmax and a healthy sct tune? Do u have any other suggestions of little things i can to to squeeze more power outta it and other things to promote longevity

190/75's with a p-max? High 400's most likely, maybe 475rwp area. With 100 nozzles you could MAYBE break the 500hp mark, but with 190's the p-max is actually the limiting factor here.

The stock tranny will hold 500 yes.

There's a build going on PSA right now called "vanilla ice" that's getting 190/75's and an RCD modded p-max to a 68mm charger. Might want to check that out.

You can do both. And from what I read the guys using a tuned ficm are loving them.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

There was a review last month on here about the gryphon ficm tuner. The guy doing the review loved it. I wanna try it later down the road. Scroll down 10posts in the 6.0 performance section and you will See it. It's a good review
