Default 6r110

A buddy of mine had brought up to me that I should put a 6r110 behind my 6.0. I was not sure if anyone else thought about doing this or if anyone has done it. It sounds like a badass idea I am just trying to get some input before I decide to do it. That extra gear would be nice to have.

IIRC the 6r is the same trans as the 5r, just with differant programing to allow for a seperate shift.

The gear ratios are different. By a good bit, actually.

Me and him both seem to think my truck would be faster in a 1/4 mile with the 6r in there. Have either of you heard of anyone doing this?

Idk I was just trying some input on putting a 6r in. I personally think a 6r will be faster down low rather the 5r.

The highest HP and fastest 6.0 is running a built 5r... I'd say your barking up the wrong tree... IMHO

Not trying to be mean, but you should probably make your truck fast before thinking about making it faster.
