well, ya know man, i guess it was kind of an ignorant statement. And i did that cause i guess i let my attitude carry over from another site. that site road my *** for 4 pages about how it was bad for the truck, why did i want it, and how stupid i was for even asking. So to save yall and myself from all that, i just asked it the way i did. Since i felt like if i wanted to trash my truck, it was my business. After all, if you look at the way i asked it,, is it really anyone's else concern why i wanted it. Hell, maybe i wanted to grow flowers in it. Anyway,, i do thank you for your reply. Im just want to get the correct one.

2004-2007 Ford Power Stroke 6.0L Cold Air Intake - Ford Power Stroke Cold Air Intake

they seem to make noisy intakes for the cummins powered trucks, not sure if it'd be the same for the 6.0 PSD, but you never know

You're just not going to get a "growl" out of an intake. Not on a forced induction motor like this, all you hear is turbo spooling. I will say, the 03 turbos sound wicked on these trucks and will make your ears bleed.

To answer your original question, I doubt any of them are going to be noticably different as far as noise, other than a sealed filter box vs. open filter. Open will be louder, but I'm sure you've been told already will produce a lot less power.

I'm running a stock intake plus Zoodad mod and a 4" downpipe with nothing behind it. Very deep throaty tone but also at the same time a lot of turbo hiss. That might be what you heard
