Yeah its weird I have had customers call and tell me the same thing after I tell them there 03 or 04 shouldn't throw a code. But I recommend it for the 05 and up since the likely hood its greater

How hard is it too put on?? or is it just time consuming. im lookin at gettin the RCD kit but i didnt know how complicated it was to put on. I had a diesel shop near me price what it would cost to install and they wanted like a $1000 to 1200 to put it in. so im thinkin bout doin it myself

i have never worked on a diesel motor or gas for that matter except changing oil and the basic other stuff.. just throwin that out there to get an idea of how easy it was in my opinion..... the hardest part was removing the turbo and removing the up pipe and instaling the new one after that it was smooth sailing also having a lifted truck really takes a toll on ur knees and body ... i took the intake compleatly off casue i replaced my oil cooler.... if you are going to spend the time doing the egr delete go the extra step and replace the oil cooler because more the likely needs it anyways... if i can do it almost anyone can do it... its not hard at all and not too time consuming if u have all your tools handy and not all unorganized like mine... also if your going to buy the rcd kit get it off ebay they are on sale for $225

It's still good to get the EGR delete whether or not you find the oil cooler. Also you can rebuild those coolers, you don't need to buy a whole new one. I think rebuilds are about $275.

The EGR deletes are not very hard, but yes very time consuming.

Also if you find the RCD kits on ebay, you can do the make offer deal and get them pretty cheap. Got mine for $185 shipped and it comes with a t-shirt too!
