An intake will not reduce EGT's. It will help dust that turbo so stay stock on the intake side. I agree that you need to look into custom tunes or an aftermarket IC.

To late on the intake but if it does ruin my turbo i can justify a new ats one to my wife. Hope the injectors go bye bye too.

An intake wont lower EGT's? Why not? Cooler/denser air = lower EGT's. Works in the same principle as an intercooler.

The wrong intake can and will dust the turbo.

The stock intake is a very good unit, but a PITA to change out.

I have the Banks intercooler and you will notice a nice difference in temps, once you see the lack of constriction on the end tanks you will see why they are better, as far as boost goes it responds much quicker. I run the injen/amsoil intake, 5'ex.,edge juice with att. when I tow 10k my temps stay below 1250 on hills but the tallest ones around here are only about 1600ft .It is a very worth while invesment, even on a stock truck. the only thing in the kit I didn't use is the intake elbo, I went with the CFM elbo instead. I talked to Eric at innovative a while ago and I am going to get the mild tune to run with my other mods as well, sounds like his programming is the best in the business...
