Default DELETE OR COOLER?

i have been reading a lot of different things about the 6.0 EGR problems, i own an 04. solutions EGR delete kit or a replacement cooler like from Bullet Proof. i have heard about the deletes throwing CEL. Than the replacement coolers just clogging up with soot. whats the solution? and what have all the other 6.0 bombers done to there trucks.

If you got that much extra cash the BPD delete kits are nice. I run an OEM oil cooler that was swapped out for a clogged one. I switched to the Fleetrite ELC and it runs 6* deltas.

The oil coolers don't clog with soot, it's the crappy Ford Gold coolant that breaks down over time that clogs up the internals.

A 2004 running an EGR delete may not throw a CEL or code. It's common to see the newer 2005+ trucks throw a code.

The solution is limited by your pocketbook.

I have an 04 and delet is the way to go. Do a simple test un plug the EGR while the engine is off/key off. That makes the EGR stay closed. Then just start your truck. Check to see if you have any check engine or codes. If not you are good to delet, without any other problems.
