Can I use ford oem head gaskets on an o-ringed head? If not... Which to use?

If there are rings cut into the head you need to use gaskets designed for the rings.

I didn't think there was special gaskets for o ringed heads.... I thought the special gaskets were for fire rings.

From what I have read it's basically the same thing just a different "ring".
