Gearhead, Quicktricks, IDP are all great choices. Throw in some FICM tuning from Power Hungry Performance and the best just gets better.

Agreed, but I've never had good luck with quicktricks. Never shifted right in my truck, but I see a lot of guys like them.

I've used everything from an economy tune (waste of money) to every hot tune I could get my hands on. The biggest thing is just dealing with a good tuner (IE, Eric @ Innovative, or Matt @ Gearhead etc...).

I've been DD'ing on my GoGo race with stock lock up lately. Looking at ordering some tunes from Matt @ Gearhead real soon. His SRL is a popular tune. I've always liked my Innovative Extreme street, probably one of my favorite tunes.

I used an IDP Extreme tune, but I didn't care for the "light switch" effect (at a given rpm, throttle pressure is constant, but the truck suddenly wants to tear *** down the road). The Aggressive street was cool, just not as powerful. I run Gearheads' SRL tune as my DD right now. Pretty decent, no light switch, and ran the same ET as my IDP Extreme tune.

I recently added an IDP FICM tune. The smoke isn't as thick and the throttle response is mucho bettero.

FICM programming shouldn't be over looked. In fact, read the latest Diesel Power, they're doing an '03 6.0 project (red extended cab on 35s, ye-yeah!). They run a FICM tuner, an Elite FICM and a 58V FICM on the dyno. Obviously the results coincide with the amount of cash spent, but all three increased throttle response to one degree or another.

6.0 tuning has come a long way that's for sure. Mine just runs like a train and pulls just as hard.

Interested in what you think about Matt's tune, looking to make a change and considering either Matt or Vivian.
