We actually just put one of those ved12 turbos on a 98 12valve last week. Worked super but that truck has a bunch of port work done, a cam, 7x.010 sticks, and enough fuel for 450 horse.

why 7x10's and only 450 HP? 5x12's are good for WAY more than that. just curious on the reasoning behind the madness?

The truck had 5x.013 in it but they were worn out and we got a really good deal on a like new set of 7x.010. My guess is that the 7x.010 will spray about the same fuel as the 5x.012. And as far as the madness goes, for all I know the truck is making 600 horse but it hasn't made it to the dyno yet and I don't want to exaggerate too far without actually knowing what I'm talkin about. But like I said before it works really good so the madness must not be too awfully far off.

By the way in case anyone is curious, that turbo on that 98 is 67/70/16

the total size of the orifices are
5x.012=.06
5x.013=.065
7x.01=.07

so the 7x.01's are a noticable amount bigger. kinda got off subject my bad

Interesting u should bring this up but I'd like to make a correction if I may. The cross sectional area is not actually proportional to the diameter but rather to the square of the radius (remember A=pi*r^2), therefore:
5x.012=5.655 sq.in
5x.013=5.637 sq.in
7x.010=5.498 sq.in
So the 7x.010 is actually the smallest of the three in terms of area of the holes.

really? that is interesting. so the hole size isnt .012 of an inch?

so i agree with you, did some thinking hard being dumb sometimes. but you messed your math up. the 13's are the biggest

5x12's = .00056547 sq in
5x.013's = .0006636 sq in
7x.01's = .00054976 sq in
