Yeah I was thinking stock over HT3B, but should I put a different compressor wheel and wastegated housing on it? And yes very sexy haha

Some run without a wastegate on their secondary. I think they help with tuning though.

Yeah that was my thought on the wastegate. Only problem is I have no clue how to tune it.

How hard is it to do twins? And can i do it on a none i/c truck

Thanks for the link. You can put them on your truck but it would be better to install an intercooler on it first. You can buy kits for intercooled trucks from pdr diesel but they want way to much for them. I was thinking at work today could I run a swt of twins off a c15 cat or something if I had the fuel to support them? I'm sure I could get the set real cheap.

My S300 is a 62/71 with a 1.0 housing from DDP.. The S400 is a 71/96 with a 1.32 housing and I cant remember were I got the turbo but I think it was a place called Turbo Daves online.

To tell you the truth I am thinking of trying a S400 75/83 with a 1.10 housing this winter when I have some cash..

My mess started out as the basic cobra-1 "Kit" (using my existing HX35/Hybrid as the secondary) from PDR. I've since upgraded the secondary to an S300 62/14. It now amounts to the PDR cobra-4 "Kit".

If you've the tools/skills/time to build it yourself, you can save a lot of money. It being the plumbing of it all.
- The piping from the air filter to the primary turbo. The primary's output to the secondary. The secondary to the IC and/or engine. That's the cold-side stuff.
- The exhaust piping from the primary turbo to the secondary turbo. From there, down and out through the new/custom Down-Pipe to the exhaust.
- A suitable support for the primary turbo.
- The oil supply and return for the primary turbo.

I would note:
- Make the plumbing as short as is possible. Especially the exhaust. We don't want to waste the energy of heat that drives the turbines. One can get too big with the plumbing. The idea being it takes longer to pressurize as you build boost contributing to turbo-Lag.
- On the hot side: Keep the hot-pipe between the turbos the same size as the primary's exhaust housing's outlet.
- On the cold side: between the turbos, no more than 1/2" over the primary compressor's actual volute inlet.

It'll make it snappier IMO.

It wouldn't hurt to improve upon the stock/OEM intercooler.

Remember, it's not just about Boost. Boost is only a measure of resistance of air-flow through the entire system's track. We want more volume of air.

The air is what pushes the piston as it expands with the heat of the fuel.







- Then add more fuel till the EGT's get stupid-hot, then take the turbos off and put on bigger ones. Then add more fuel and then >Pop< goes something. Fix it and tweak something thus adding more power and then . . . . .


It's vicious.
