Default Performance

Hello all first gen owners I got my 91 doin' pretty good but I want to add performance to it now what is the cheapest but decent quality stuff to throw on her and I want to know also how I can keep my EGTs down after I start doing all the mods. Thanks

32k gov spring, pump mods (see thread sticky), and gauges to start. Then go from there.

gauges if you wanna not spend alot of money on your truck make a cold air intake then do free pump mods a gov spring and a ground or aftermarket fuel pin, if you wanna buy cheep stuff save your self the hassel and dont even try cheap = junk = buying quality the secound time and spending more then you should have

I have gauges how do I do the pump mods? I have an EGT an boost

When i had my 93 they talked about using a slightly smaller exhaust side turbo housing to increase boost but i dont know what that would do to EGTs, sold the truck before i looked further into it.

look in the sticky for the pump mods. pretty simple stuff to figure out

I always say, if ya dont know dont do it. I'd say get someone to help you. They are fairly easy to do just be careful with the full power screw cause it can runaway. Having someone else there with a board to cover the turbo is a good idea when adjusting the full power screw. haha
