Default HX 40 downpipe

ok; so who ever said an HX 40 downpipe would fit with some "minor tweaking" needs their head examined. either that or my HX 40 dp is different than everyone elses because i made quite a few cuts to increase the bends and removed some pipe to make everything match, moved the tans dipstick. just really glad i have a chop saw, some spare pipe, and a welder. deffinately not a mount and go part

really? where did you order it from? the one i got from source automotive bolted right up no problem. i guess the only minor thing i had to do was grind a little off the metal plate that holds the tranny heater but that was nothing major. you didnt get a 2nd gen down pipe did you?

The only 4" HX 40 down pipe I found was for the 2nd gens ... SOB I kinda feel like an *** now hahaha oh well; it works... Maybe, spent so much time cutting, welding and fitting I didn't even get it bolted in place

, more like i'm only a phone call away and if you have free stuff you better have me on speed dial hahah i'll pay shipping over retail anyday... truck sat this winter and the rotors went to hell and now i have to do a high arm steering kit, king pin rebuild and caster adjustment. it never ends oh and i still have to modify my front driveshaft so i actually have 4wd, its too short.... 6" of lift left me with a short driveshaft and killed my caster .
