define easy.... 4 bolts easy? yes... location easy... no. the front cross member is right underneath the damper. its tight, not impossible.... i still have yet to attempt my damper. until then its a very expensive paper weight. i guess what ever the site tells you is the truth, has to be or else they'd have law suits out the yang for false advertisement. how ever i do know any sort of damper is critical to the health and operation of an engine. alot of farm equipment ends up with snapped cranks because the damper failed and it was over looked. plenty of high horsepower engines gas or diesel have been running fluidampers without fail. cant be bad for the engine. overall you should see a smoother engine, from idle to under load. some say better fuel mileage, and quicker revs. then you have to think about the stocker... people have been using factory with out a problem for however hundres of thousands of miles. all depends on how you want to spend your money really... IMO i like the idea of a fluidampr. finding the time and the little asian boy to install it is a different matter

i'd actually say any truck that has larger injectors, or advanced timing needs one. the stock damper is designed to handle stock fueling, rpms, and timing. if you change anything you're going to change the harmonics the engine actually produces and from there make the stock unit far less effective. a fluidamper or any viscous balancer for that matter will be effective at minimizing bad vibrations with any mod, and rpm, its a good upgrade; just some people dont need a $400+ hole in their pocket when their ride can get by with the stock one.
