Default been thinking some, need advice

so i been thinking bout the direction i wana go with my first gen in the future and im thinking bout when i get another truck to use for a daily driver that i wana fix my first gen up and make a part time sled puller. right now my truck has a ve pump that was stock when i bought the truck. pump was said to be replaced a year before i bought it. ( i bought the truck a year ago). not sure if its a new or rebuilt pump. it has a sticker on the pump from the diesel shop that did the work so i know its a different pump. i turned the fuel up my self advanced timing denny t pin 3200 goiv spring. still running my factory injectors. so question is i been thinking bout buying new injectors but looking at spending around $500 and when its all said and done ima still only guna be looking at bout 300hp from what ive read. so would i be better off putting that money towards a p pump swap. talking just putting a stock pump lines and injecotrs on and modifying as i go. seems more senseable to me then spending 500 on injectors that wont make me competitive in pulling later on. also my concern is my getrag i just had it fully rebuilt and im currently running a single disk valair rated at 400hp. i know right away il need a dual disk clutch but im curious as to wether my freshly rebult rag can with stand pulling later on down the road when i mod the engine alot more (500 hp or more). also what kind of money i can get out of my ve pump if i sell it? also my truck has 3:54 gears in it, would i be pissing in the wind trying to be a sled puller with those gears or could i still be competitive? sorry bout the long post and thanks in advance for any help

with the mods you talked about you should be pretty close to 300hp. you should put in a 2nd gen or a powerchoker intercooler. also do something to your intake if you already havent.

More fuel isn't going to do much without more air.

What are your plans for the turbo?

Thats what I was thinking. I am looking to max the VE out on an HE351VE... 62mm might be more worth your time to look into, so you can spool before the VE runs out of fuel.
