Default Guys hazing while going down the highway...

How big of injectors do these guys run? dang, i was on the opposite side of the highway of a second gen today, both of us were going ~70 mph and i could see his haze pretty clearly as we crossed paths. My 8x.011's will puff a little if i hit the throttle too quick on the highway but im running a ve pump and even that little puff makes me cringe when it comes to milage.

You gotta think gears too. Not everyone has higher gears and can run the same speeds. That's one thing I'm gonna hate when I get my truck going, I've have had a little go-kart (honda civic) that is my driver while the truck is torn down. So now I'm used to going 90-95 on my way to Vegas or SLC ha ha. This ol girl will drink the fuel if I try that.

Guess I'll have to look into a gear-vendor OD to put in when I get a 5 speed bolted in.

Yeah I hazed when I used to run POD's, it doesnt take a whole lot........more or less pump settings. Just a little more throttle trying to gain speed and it would do it.

it was flat as a pancake highway.... it was a 2nd gen but the thread got moved. some of these trucks i see just let the fuel come straight out of the exhaust...

as dennyt said, pump settings make a lot of change. now that i think about it, probably someone with a gutted afc and not even a huge set of injectors could make smoke at cruise.

My old truck 2001 3500 I could coaltrain at any speed under 90 mph. 210 hp injectors with a fass pump and a hotrod vp44.
