found a S300 turbo the other day reasonable price wondering if it would work alright with a tweaked pump ex. denny t pin, star wheel turned, pump maxed, straight exhaust all advice is welcome thanks

 

I know quite a few people do it. I wish I knew a specific example so I could lead you their way, but I do not. What size S300 is it? I know the 62/65/12 has been run with those mods. You may need to look into a low pressure piston lift pump though. You can get them from Cummins.

This is the route I plan to take whenever money comes (next tax return?).

 

the s300 is a very good turbo. especially if an aftermarket company has got in there and started beefin em up. if its a stock s300, id go the hx40 route instead IMO

I would say definatley go for it. An S300 has a much stronger shaft than an HX40 and is is capable of similar hp. An S300G has a 57 mm comp wheel and is a base for pretty much all the more bad-*** turbos on the market ie...
