no it will work with a stock system

1STACK 12-31-2009 12:28 PM

Sorry, what I meant was will this be working even after the ksb kicks off after the truck is warmed up?

yes, it works just like the stock dynamic timing does

RSWORDS 01-01-2010 01:49 AM

Any numbers yet?

1STACK 01-01-2010 02:53 AM

Thanks I was just a little confused.

not yet. working on getting it tested

alwaysworking.
i see in your sig a twin ram intake.. and trac bars.. can you post some pics of them...

Track bars for sale?

Alwaysworking 01-04-2010 10:49 PM

anything is for sale, i have cnc programs for the the rear end mounts, everything else was just slapped togeather.

Alwaysworking 01-06-2010 12:40 AM

got the testing done,

but the numbers they use are timing piston travel from
1.9-2.0 mm @1000 rpm pump speed
to 3.8 mm @1000 rpm pump speed

and went to 6.4mm @1500 pump speed

from what he said the engine speed is double the pump speed.

remps 01-06-2010 01:33 PM

So how does the dynamic timing range compare to a stock pump? How much extra range does the spacer give?

oklahoma_6speed 01-06-2010 03:41 PM

price on track bars.. and intake horn... so i can tell some people...:pca1:

:humm:

and it still keps the stock base timing?

Alwaysworking 01-06-2010 07:16 PM

It doesn't change the static timing just the dynamic timing,

the top numbers i posted are stock settings and the bottom numbers i posted are what it was with the spacer.

2.6 max dynamic timing stock
to
6.4 max dynamic timing with the spacer kit.

Very curious to see some real world seat of the pants results.

Smoke?
Power?
EGT?
Dyno run numbers?

Looks awesome though.

What is 1000rpm pump speed in engine Rpm/speed?

captain_stabbin 01-06-2010 09:36 PM

this ones too high tech for me!!!:pca1:

Times pump speed by 2, so 2000 engine rpm's.

Alwaysworking 01-07-2010 10:03 AM

My truck pulls hard, but no new dyno numbers yet.

always working whats the AFC spacer all about in your sig????

Alwaysworking 01-08-2010 12:49 AM

a spacer to give you more smoke screw travel, so the fuel pin can go up higher to get rid of more smoke

guess i have to pull the spacer out of my truck and drive it some, i get used to the power so fast it always seems slow to me, thats why more and more parts.

I hear that!

tower_ofpower 01-25-2010 08:57 PM

well... i cant speak 100% for the timing spacer alone... seeing as i haven't driven the truck too much after i got the air dog installed. but i slapped the spacer, M3 fuel pin and 366 spring in all at the same time. but i backed my static timing back down to stock. and had to screw the full load screw completely out for pump re-assembly. i went in 8 full turns. (maybe 2-3 turns out from where i was prior to installation) i've noticed an insane amount of smoke reduction with the same amount of boost, engine response and turbo response is insane compared to stock. rollin about 40-45 mph i can put it to the floor build upward of 30 psi and crank up to 2500 rpm and accelerate at a relatively quick rate... i'm losing ALOT thru the trans so the trans upgrade is next on the list... but over all i am ecstatic with the results :jump: its worth the money.

muskrat 01-25-2010 09:06 PM

Sweet, dude! How easy was the timing spacer install? That's next on my list.:choochoo:

the install is pretty straight forward. the kit comes with 2 new o rings and two 5mm allen head replacement screws. the stock fasteners are T30's and its tight between the P/S pump neck and the fastener... i used a 3/8 drive T30 socket with a 1/4 inch ratchet wrench on the torx shank. the spring is pretty beefy and will give you some trouble on re-assembly. its all pretty simple... there is a shim behind the spring... dont lose it :tttt: i actually used a small amount of grease to "tack" things together to hold it in place on re assembly... getting the replacement screw started it a pain... and it isnt hard to pull the starter thread out of the pump so... take your time:c:

seandonato73 01-26-2010 12:06 AM

cool think the next time i get paid i'm gonna get one. hows it work tower?

SteveinAz 01-26-2010 03:29 PM

I ordered mine last Friday. This should help my 7200# pig.

tower_ofpower 01-26-2010 05:25 PM

seems to work good to me :rocking: like i said in my previous posts it cut my smoke way back. i need to crank my AFC screw down just a hair tho. take off is a little sluggish (compared to what it was) due to my pin change. my "custom" ground pin was cut a bit deeper on the low end than the M3. install was a abit of a pain since you're fighting a pretty beefy spring the whole time.

seandonato73 01-26-2010 05:29 PM

cool thanks!:tu:

if you turn the engine over the timing piston will pop back in the pump and you dont have to fight it as much, I will add that to the directions.

:lol88: there were directions? and of course i'd be the guinea pig :lol88: love the products tho man... when you first get the products you're kind of like "well that seems a bit steep for these little rinky dink pieces of metal" then you install them and it makes it all worth it. :tu:

SteveinAz 01-28-2010 04:20 PM

I just got mine in the mail and I got directions for installing a fuel pin. I sent a pm.

Alwaysworking 02-07-2010 12:11 AM

update without my dynamic timing advance kit my truck spools slower has less throttle response and the egts are higher.

1STACK 02-07-2010 02:13 PM

I've got a few questions. I have my pump turned 1/8 from so with the spacer in would I have too much timing? Also I have my ksb hot wired will It be too much timing or would it be even better on the top end?

remps 02-07-2010 03:49 PM

If a person had the pump pushed to the head and still needed more timing, the spacer would certainly be easier than jumping a tooth.Still waiting to hear more about the effects of a longer spring under the spacer to maintain true dynamic timing before I order one.I hear that the N/IC spring is longer? With the spacer will it still have original tension?
