what's the trick to backing down the idle, i made a specialty tool to break the jam nut loose on the full power screw, but i cant quite get to the idle adjusting screw and jam nut.

idle screw jam nut can be loosened with a hammer and screwdriver.. and a little finesse

CumminsPowerorNoPower I believe you have an auto truck. If so take the TPS bracket off the ve pump and it will give you alittle bit more clearance. Then you can use the screwdriver and hammer to knock the nut loose hitting the edge towards the ve. The use a pair of needle nose pliers to adjust it towards the back of the engine, it might take a while. Is your timing bumped?

Yea, it is an automatic. and the timing is factory, never messed with. you had to be doing some thinking to figure out that you could get that nut broke loose with a hammer and a screwdriver. I cut a 13 mm socket to make it work on the full power screw and then i could reach back there with a long flat blade screwdriver.

I can achieve 27 with the minor fuel adjustments i got now on the pump. the smoke screw cranked all the way down, and half a turn on the full power screw. the truck needs an exhaust housing, because the turbo lag is depressing. you can be rolling 15 mph. before you see boost and that's if you mat it. I'm not to worried about baking the turbo because i figure any day it's going to break. it's got over 200,000 miles on the factory charger, and all the first gens around where i'm at broke their turbo around that milage.

idk; i know i'm in excess of 30 PSI (gauge stops at 20 and it BURRIES the needle another 30* of rotation) when ever i get on it and stay on it there is no whistle... it just sounds like a pissed off cat so i dont stay in it like that very long at all for fear i am over speeding that poor H1C

i got a thirty pound autozone gauge on it.
here's video link of a video i put on youtube.
i don't have much whistle, but when you do let off, the sound it makes is pretty intense through the four inch.

thats what i'm saying. the turbo on it now is factory and with the miles that's on it now, and the way it was run before i got it, it's got to be close to self destruction.
