Default strait pipe?

i know it can hurt newer trucks if you straight pipe them but what about the first gen cummins, i have a five inch straight on my goat.

it will be fine. lowering your back pressure by straight piping your truck should lower egt's an make the turbo spool a little faster. an that in my book means th truck will run better

I ran a str8 on my first gen at did in fact lower my egt's when i did it about 4 months ago. I had quite a bit more power from takeoff to about 45 or so. i'd have alot more speed added but I don't have an O\D Tranny... :/

So how do you get the 5" pipe to turbo?

either get it custom made or order a 5" downpipe. it is tough to fit a 5" exhaust though, i cant do it on my truck unfortuneately dont have enough room

That is on the Chev that is your pic? I would love to have this 12v in a truck just like that.

ya its in the chevy. if i could do it again i wouldve gone and bought a nice 24v truck and spent the rest of the money on mods. i got way too much money in that chevy

ha ha. Yes they do. If this motor doesn't look good on the inside i'm turning it in for a 4bt for the 47 ****** Wagon. ha ha

i can just barly fit my four inch past my t-case on my truck. i wuold have to go under it to fit five inch.

can you go around it? or couldnt you just pinch it in that one little spot to barely clear it?
