i got a few questions. can them 6x16's get pretty hot? also what is the price range on them?

Seeing as how they are 300% over stock... yes they can get very hot. :D

Most horsepower with a single charger was made with a 6X.016 injector. Most power running a compound set up was with a set of 6X.018's.

Seems anything bigger than that, and power was lost.

Knowing what went into making the last set of 6x0.016" I did, I'm guessing many, many companies come up short. Let's just say I do not wish to another set, there is no point to use a 6-hole nozzle, Bosch quit using them for a reason.

Can you explain why there is no point using a 6 hole nozzle? I'm not saying your wrong, as you obviously know a LOT more than me about injectors, but do you think a 1st Gen would make the same power with a set of 5X.018's as a set of 6X.018's?

You've probably heard of Brian Block, and from what I gather, he tested a lot of injectors with 'Ol Yellow. He was the one that mentioned that 1st Gen's seemed to like 6 hole injectors more than anything else. It may just be the technology now is better than when he did his testing, but I am still curious as to your reasoning.

Again, not doubting you, just curious to learn.

I am too... I'll be looking for another set here soon. I wonder if with that many holes the spray patterns interfer with each other. Like hit each other if you will.

A 6-hole nozzle will make more power simply because it has one more injection orifice than the 5-hole. The term used to desribe the issue that caused Bosch to go away from the 6-hole design is "low lift needle deviation". This is common in VCO nozzles when compared to Sac nozzles, however, much more evident in the 6-hole vs the 5-hole. The set of 6x0.016" I did were very clean, and had no haze @ idle even with ~ 24° static advance, but it also took 6 hrs to do them.

Thats a labor of love. sounds like a winner:U:

6 holes and no haze at idle... sounds like a winner to me. which arm do you prefer left or right?
