well its not the tranny temps id be worried about. i notice with my budies auto compaired to my 5 speed it bogs down alot more wich creates heat and turbo lag, id go with the 14 with the auto and a 16 with the 5 speed, just for lag reasons

I was running a 18cm3 housing on my 89 and i saw 40 psi quick like, very little lag. Now im going with a ported pdr 16cm3 housing with a 60mm compressor, should not be any worse lag then what i had before.

Actually, the bigger housing would better for towing with an auto because you only have spool it once and it'll run a little cooler.

The truck in my avatar is a stick and I tow with a 12cm non-wastegated 60mm hybrid. It'll pull a house down with the 4.10s. It's fueled to max out around 25psi boost and EGT is manageable with W/M as long as the VE is not turned all the way up.
