He's got somebody in Wi. to pull it down, they are goin to try to put it back together and see how it goes I think. He was talkin about buyin a new one and I was gonna try to go up there and pick the '89 up and either buy it from him, or just steal all the new stuff he just bought for mine, hehehe. But, I think all that is out the window now. I'll keep you posted, he's still got a long way to go.

It was not fustration... He loves that truck... I think his reasoning for wating to buy a new one was the fact that he had to report for duty in few days...

Default 14500lbs pulled from Va to Ak

After the head gasket issue was fixed the rest of the trip was pretty good. I got about 12 mpg. My wallet was a little lighter, but oh well. (can't take it with you) I don't know for sure but I think I hold the record on heaviest load pulled the longest distance. All said and done I had about 14,300 lbs on her, and the trip was right at 4300 miles. If any of yall ever drive the Alcan make sure your brakes work very good. I had to go from 55 to 15 in like 200 feet when a herd of Buffalo came out of the brush and crossed the road in front of me. Make sure you have a rifle with a good scope on it as well, If I had my 280 instead of the 44 mag on the front seat, 1 coyote would not be breathing anymore. Long story short 150 yards i blew dirt up all around him but never touched him, next time will be different. For all you guys planning on driving your 1 gens up here buy a kidney belt, cause the road sucks in alot of places.

talk later
Stanley
