Default Do I need ladder bars?

My trucks in the shop right now getting a new trans and when it's done I'll be running the smarty on sw 9 and I was wondering if I would need ladder bars? I don't offroad any but I tow the occasional gooseneck. Thanks all for the replies!

I have GDP's ladder bars on mine and no issues. Some say that a traction bar (straight style) does not ride as well. I wouldn't know, never had traction bars. Only ladders. They ride good with no axle wrap. Easy install too.
