i think we ata give the (most likely a kid) a break. being the dumbass blowing all kinds of black smoke is the cool thing to do when you dont understand how to build a good running diesel. he will learn just like all of us did.

I wish I believed that... Seems to me that this diesel fad that has come up the last couple years with the young guys like myself is just all about blowing smoke. They don't know how to actually work on a motor anymore, they don't understand what is happening and they don't yet feel the repercussions of their actions. Even if they did, they probably would do what most kids these days do and make it somebody else's problem... I'm young too but I'm sick of the "Help me make my truck smoke so I can smoke out those Prius people" threads. GTFU... All they are doing is messing it up for the rest of us...

Anyways... To answer the question and be helpful, More Fuel Less Air ought to get you smoke. Smoke is just unburnt fuel out your tailpipe so when you use your daddy's credit card to fill up, remember that...

So the best way to create smoke in your truck is to simply cut the fuel line, turn on the IP light a match and stand back. There will be plenty of smoke To make for more fun you can also bleed out all of the air out of your tires, fill then with acetylene, then do as above light a match and enjoy the show.

Smoke SHOULD NOT BE THE GOAL, Please look to make your truck better not just a hazard... unless you wanted to push it off a cliff in a fireball and smoke.

I have to say i agree with everyone on its stupid that people just want smoke because just cause your truck smokes doesnt mean you have power, but its not just the younger generation i know a man thats atleast 50yrs old and he blows smoke 24/7

The fact that you want it to smoke is stupid when i first got into all of this i was the same way. i thought smoke was cool, but then i learned that creating a strong proper working diesel is a science. it takes alot of work to get it right and all your doing is wasting power and running the possibility of high egts if all you want is your truck to smoke like a freight train. honestly having a truck that you put the time and effort in to pull big numbers and be smoke free is much more rewarding than just dumping and wasting more fuel

to me it seems like if your truck is not stock and dont smoke then you pretty much have the correctly tuned machine. the right mixture of fuel and air= no smoke. if you have your tuner turned up and it smokes then so be it. But Im like everybody else here and i think yall who just want smoke dont really need a diesel
