smarty ssr question
Could I run a smarty ssr on my almost stock truck? I have exhaust and intake. I understand about clutch etc. I dont want to just drop a chip and max my truck out and wreck something... Its just that i don't want to be buying another programmer this upcoming summer if I could have just bought the right one in the first place and went easy on the truck until everything was in tune.. I will be slowly modding the truck over the next year or so. I know egt's will be higher and I need more mods like lift pump, cp3, air, etc. Im coming from the 12v world and dont know much about all this electronic stuff
Any opinions? Could I just run it on the low settings?

If your new to Smarty the SSR is very tuneable BUT very hard to get right! Takes alot of playing with to get it right! But it is the best right now. If you want to plug and play the POD s06 is good too. there is a very long write up on Competition diesel.
I thought EFI Live was the best out there? I don't think you could go wrong with either, but I think the EFI Live has more tunability for any application you can have. It will control from stock to wild.
Or if you want to keep the lift...get a set of 37's or 40's under it, and gear it properly.
