Default Quadzilla Scout II

I'm finally getting around to buying some gauges, but I really don't want to clutter my dash and pillar with the things. I entertained an Edge just so I could have a single display for my gauges, but really wanted to go with a Smarty programmer. Just learned that the Scout II will interface with the Smarty so I'm all but sold on this thing.

Wanted to know if anyone is using this currently and what your thoughts are on the quality? The pictures give it a "cheap" appearance and was concerned about quality. Also, what mounting options are available for the monitor? Velcro'd to the dash isn't an option for me anymore.

Furthermore, anyone have any suggestions on where to purchase it? Cheapest I've found is $299 with free EGT kit and free shipping. Haven't found any mounting options yet though.

Thanks, looks like the part number is D-130105 for the pillar mount. For the life of me I don't understand why these mounts are only available in Taupe. My interior is grey. You'd think that'd be an option.

I'm not going for the fuel pressure add-on at the moment. I'm only concerned with boost, egt and trans temp. I am curious about the problems you had with the sending unit though. It's likely something I'll add in the future. Did they replace it under warranty?

Before I found the scout 2, I was also looking at the Glowshift 3 in 1 gauge to stop some of the clutter since I didn't want the edge. But since the scout 2 can interface with the smarty it seems like a no-brainer to go with this one. That and $365 shipped for the monitor and pillar mount is quite affordable. Lotsa bang for the buck.
