Default Power Upgrades

I have an 03 with I believe a 5.9 IBS 250, the exhaust has been changed to a 4" Banks, and their is a sticker in the engine compartment saying their was a flash to the ECU done. I am new to diesels and would like some input on upgrades to this engine so I can attain around 350 hp and 600 lbs of torque. Is the tier 250 a 250 horse engine and what is the torque of this engine.

An ECU flash may have been done because someone jacked it up with a programmer. If its been flashed its fine. I Just installed a Bully Dog Triple Dog programmer and it gave me a boner. Throttle response is improved and the truck LAUNCHES!! If you do decide to start juicing your truck up you need to first of all get some gauges so you dont scatter your cummins. Also depending on how much you do to the motor you might need to look into a better tranny. Do your research and talk to guys on here if your thinking about doing something. Free advice is better that dropping thousands on a blown motor/tranny from something that could have been avoided. Hope this helps!

The best way to get better mileage is get a better air filter, exhaust, and a programmer. They work off each other. But I would recommend getting a better fuel pump with a 2 micron filter to save your injectors. The stock filter doesn't cut it.

Where would someone get a 2 Micron filter, I have checked a few parts stores and all they can get are 7's. Is it possible to put an additional filter inline with the stock filter to keep the crap out of the injector pump?

Look at the fass, airdog, or raptor fuel systems. I have a raptor and it seems to work fine but it is loud.
