Default 2nd Gen Exhaust Manifold on an 04?

I am looking at upgrading to a bigger turbo probably a s366 batmowheel and i heard that you can get a lot better flow from getting a 2nd gen exhaust manifold and moving the turbo up where they do on the 02 and earlier. Does anyone know if it would be worth it because if it won't be a pretty noticable difference then I will just stick with the 3rd gen set up. I dont want to chop up my existing intake or move my battery around if it won't make that much of a difference.

Ya, not much difference at all. But if you ever want to do compounds, I've heard its easier to do with a second gen manifold.

Thanks for the input I really appreciate it. I was afraid that would be the case haha. Thanks for saving me all the fab work and time.

There isn't much work to it, and I did it for the sound mostly. Personally it may spool alittle better but the turbo really whistles.

Only fabricating is cutting the 2 3/4" end off the IC pipe to mount up to a 3 inch compressor elbow.

I'll try to get some pics and sound clips up.
