Default Exhaust question.

Just got the MBRP cat back exhaust, I was wondering if the football looking part on my exhaust was my cat or if it was a resonator, I jar heard both and would like to clear it up.

Truck is an 06 4x4 5.9 big horn edition.

Thanks

FD

It's a kitty cat to my best knowledge. At least that's what I took off of mine anyway.

Default Exhaust question.

That what I'm wanting to do but up here in Alaska, exhaust shops won't do cat deletes. But they will do a resonator delete? It's what ever, going to get the cat delete test pipe anyways.

well i am stationed in the hell hole called wainwright but you should be able to find the smaller shops to take it off for "cash under the table" if you know what i mean or just order the down pipe and test pipe so then you have a full turbo back exhaust. what all do you have done to your truck?

Default Exhaust question.

Just went and picked up the down pipe and test pipe about to install them, I just have exhaust and gauges. I'm working on cosmetic work before I do power adders, I just got orders to San Antonio so I will get more stuff down there where it is cheaper

Man, I would wait if I was you and find someone to take them both off. I have a friend that works for a muffler shop that took it all off for me. Much better sound...
