The brace made a huge improvement in steering on my truck. And it had 40000 miles on it at the time. It seems criminal that dodge would put these trucks out on the road without a better design so that an after market device is needed to make the truck safe to drive.

my 12v with 35s was almost undriveable without it...my 3rd gen doesnt wander at all though? I still want one to relieve my steering box

I have noticed 3rd gen trucks steering to be a little tighter than a 2nd... Maybe cuz Dodge put a slightly better trac bar in the truck

Hmmm that is actually a good question Im pretty sure the steering box is the same in a 2wd. Not positive about the rest of the mounting tho...

I dont think you would need to put one in yours. I have ridden in a few 2wd 2nd gens with over 100k on the stock front end and they ride like a Cadillac.

No its not only for 4x4's you can get it for the 2 wheel drive's too. I had it on my 97 2 wheel drive dually it works great !!

Thanks man, good to know! Im guessing it will install under the sway bar brackets just like a 4x4??
