The "cool" sounds it produces will only accelerate wear on your engine. Smarty is also not a product about making funny noise, but good power.

pull the cummins out and send it to me, i will send you a gasser back with a big cam in it then it will lope . but realy a lopeing truck is unecessary, just means it has more fuel at idle than the truck knows what to do with, or very funky computer tuning. i have heard that somewhere someone does a "lope tune" for commonrail cummins and if you are deadset on doing it im sure it wouldn't be too hard to find in a search. but in my mind there are 700-800hp trucks out there that still idle smooth as stock! why make a truck with 350-400hp lope like a drag car? kinda reminds me of those ricers with a huge exhaust

oh and the smarty is fine on your motor

this reminds me of the duramax guys who think the 'lope' is cool.... you want a cool truck? make it fast and clean, little smoke, and no funny sounds or tons of stickers and chrome....

I think all of this ''MAKE IT SMOKE LIKE A TRAIN'' , ''ENGINE LOPE'' and buying a smarty then turning it up to 9 on a stock truck while towing a trailer, it's awesome.

WHY?

1) There are plenty of venders on this site that make a living selling parts to the ding dongs after they cook a turbo or rattle the head off.
2) The more parts the manufactures make the cheaper they will get. For example; if Bosch sold 1,000 sets of injectors every year they would have to cover their overhead in those 1,000 sets, but if they sell an extra 250 sets then they can cover their overhead in 1,250 sets.
3) Last, and my favorite. EVERYTIME THE DING DONGS BUY A GOOD OR SURVICE THEY STIMULATE THE ECONOMY.

And everytime they smoke out a prius they **** off a tree hugger who sicks the EPA on the diesel industry even more, pretty soon the diesel aftermarket wont exist because of this ignorance

I just look at the bright side of the situation. There will always be a small percentage of diesel owners that like to roll coal. I would have to bet most of the coal rollers are owners that use their trucks like a 1/2 ton gasser, and don't understand how important diesel power/economy is for the ones that use diesel for its intended purpose.

Buy a VP truck and add big lines or a hot rod pump.
