If you ahve an 05 cummins, and it's a "late" model 05, theres a slim chance your truck might be able to be tuned with this release from EFI Live.

That being said though, here is the order in which EFI Live is building support for the Cummins into their product. Because of some obvious differences in model years, engines, etc - they have established groupings of trucks to comprise a 'release'...

First is the 06-07 5.9 Cummins
Then the 07- Early 09 6.7 Cummins
Then 09-current
And finally they will loop back around to the 03-05 Cummins...

The reason the 03-05 Cummins is last to get support is because of the way the computers 'talk' for lack of a better way to put it. The 03-05 talk uses the SCI communication while the 06+ use the CAN-BUS communication (something EFI Live has been working with for years on GM stuff).... So they are sticking to their strengths first.

I know there is a huge demand for the 05 trucks to get tuning, and EFI Live knows this as well... It will come. Maybe not as fast as everyone hopes for - but seeing that things are actually in the works now should hopefully be a good sign to everyone in any of the categories above....

because comp d has alot of guys wanting to make the most power out of there vehicles for competition use. db isnt as much into the comp side of the industry, as much as it is the family and friends kind of site.

that being said, i cant wait to see how it works once its released to the public

its $1100 for a V2 with GM and Cummins tuning
$360 for just Cummins or GM

and for 05-older Cummins you need a different cable, so for any GM guys who already own a V2 you can tune an 06up cummins if you buy the Cummins tuning, plus VIN licensing

I think Im sticking to tuning GM trucks for a while oh well, this looks pretty sweet none the less

Its really interesting how the throttle based fuel only uses 0%, 25%, 50%, 100%, I guess the ECM just "fills in" the the spaces in between them?? crazy cummins engineers

those prices aren't quite right i don't think....

V2 (scan only) is 399...
To tune either GM or Cummins, it's $399 more including 2 VIN licenses...To do both, maybe there is a discount? Not sure on doing both, but i know one at a time it's $399.

Perhaps you get a better deal than the rest of us!!!?? :-)

Nope, just a fan of EFI live and the potential it has for the diesel aftermarket
