Right but there's no special "tune" to get a cummins to sound like that. Takes some high performance parts to accomplish that. Now take a stock dmax or stock ford add tune and "look at me I have a badass truck" no u don't... The lope tune was developed because of how a highly moded cummins sounds at idle...

These trucks are what started the lope tune craze... These lope for a reason though

 

At a pull, at a track, highly modded truck ya no problem, but remember the original post was about a tune that would 'mimic' this...

Some kid pulls into the gas station and his truck sounds like this, Im kickin him in the berries!!

i like to hear it at the track...but me personally, i dont want to sit at a stoplight and feel like my truck is gonna detonate! if someone has a serious lope around me and he shows me that hes got some serious nuts in his truck then ok...cool

 

i dont give a i love the way a lope idle sounds. its all about what you like. some ppl like it and some ppl dont. personally i think powerstrokes sound like gas burners and same with duramax. and some ppl dont like the way cummins sound. all about what you like. just like stacks, you couyld say that people with stacks are trying to be an 18wheeler while some other ppl may like stacks. i like mitre cut stacks and a lope tune

 

You can 'like' it but its still super gay...Like you said, personal opinion...

 

It does sounds BA, but i would want my truck to lope cuz its a fire breathing monster. As far as a tune......i guess, if you cant afford to make your truck sound like that cuz it is a monster....here's your alternative. But the question i have is, is a tune like that hard on stuff??
