OK...one last time, what are the settings for timing and torque?

Is the timing simply least to most (1 to 4)? Is the torque simply most management to least management (again, 1 to 4)?

I'm going to update tomorrow, then redo the ECM...figured I might as well play around some.

I loaded SW3 at defaults with the new 5.12 software, it has less smoke than SW2 at defaults on 5.09 (or 5.10?), but it also didn't make any improvement; in fact my EGTs are significantly higher across the board.

SW2 on the old software ran better than SW3 on the new software IMO. I'm going to drop back to SW2 on this new software...I hope I'm not disappointed in this upgrade.

 

Well, I gave the SW3 a few weeks...mileage was lower than SW2, by a couple mpgs. So I loaded SW2 on, and mileage is right back where it was before upgrading software.

I did notice the SW3 tended to smoke or haze when cruising empty, something the SW2 didn't do. It did tow well, temps were a little warmer, but manageable. Mileage was the biggest thing for me, the reason I dropped back.

For those that care, the 5.12 software is a lot less smokey during acceleration...unless I purposely dip into it to make it smoke, smoke is almost nonexistent during normal driving. For me, its much better that the load I had before.
