I know everyone is going to have their own opinion and each company its own claims....just bought an 04(production 1-04) and am looking for best fuel mileage programmer and i also will be pulling a 32' camper several times a year. What would be the best one in your opinion?

get mechanical gauges.... (they look cool anyway...) and a bully dog triple doge with pedifile/crazy larry tune.. hands down... advances timing and defuels when necessary... helps with mpg and plenty of power thats my .02 cents

I have the edge Juice w Attitude - Lottsa power and the turbo timer and defueling when too hot (not very often) are really nice. The built in guages are really handy also. I stacked a pressure box with it and it really sings now. I can get the pressure boxes really cheap that never exceed stock pressure limits on the top. My mileage is up also on trips. My truck is a blast to drive. I have the hot upgrade tried it once- smoked all four tires in 4 wheel drive with a megacab - and I know a few more experiments like that and bye-bye transmission so don't use anymore. But WOW!!!!!

my buddy had a mega cab with a fully built trans and still fried it with the crazy larry, personally i am not a big fan of the crazy larry, my 06 6.0 would walk all over his truck and i had a PPE with just and intake and exhaust

thats your personal opinion... i was just voicein mine.. my 6spd handles it just fine and other than a clutch and flywheel upgrade it is stock.. and i have a friend with a crew cab short bed and he too has a "full built" tranny.. he's the one i bought the box off of and he was running a smarty stacked on it and never had a problem...

with my smarty revo on sw#3 torque on stock fuel timing on 4 and rail pressure on stock im getting about 22-23 mpg hand calculated and a feel a big difference in power. Cant tell how the higher setting are, do to the fact im skert of f'ing up my stock auto tranny but you can get tons of power from the box. if you have the ability to keep up with the fuel demands power can get pretty high with the higher sw's or you can even download tnt and see gains of 230 hp more if the engine is modded right

I love my Smarty Jr. But like was said, be careful with them until you get the tranny beefed up.

I have a couple of old Mopar muscle cars, and from that frame of reference for me, it's really hard to believe how much of a brutish monster these 3-ton pickups can be. Driving back from Montrose across CO yesterday that '07 of ours was just loving the long mountain climbs. With OD locked out, it accelerates up any grade easily passing bogged down ricers like nothing. Pretty amazing, really.

Vote for Smarty here.
